how old was billy boyd in lord of the rings?
He was 31 when they first starting filming in october 1999 with filming finishing just over a year later (dec 2000) with some additional pick up filming done in 2003 when he would have been 35 in august of that year.
edit:(the pick up filming in 2003 would have been for return of the king when the director felt he needed to shoot a few added scenes or where he felt some extra footage was needed)
